Commercial Vehicle Roadworthiness Test

The Commercial Vehicle Roadworthiness Test (CVRT) or commonly referred to as a DoE is a roadworthiness test for all commercial vehicles, buses with more than eight passenger seats and ambulances. All commercial vehicles must be tested when they are over one year old and annually after that.

As part of a commercial vehicle roadworthiness test the following items are checked:

  • Tyre Condition
  • Tyre Specification
  • Tyre Tread
  • Wheels
  • Spare Wheel and Carrier
  • Windscreen wipers and washers
  • Vehicle Lights
  • Headlamp Aim
